Like many others, this small online business began as a hobby. Our home is crowded with figures, baskets, boxes and furniture we built for the pleasure and fulfillment that such activity brings. We have given away much of our work as gifts - - everyone in the family, and many of our friends and work associates, has something we made somewhere around their home. When people started asking if they could buy some of our work the idea of a business was born, and because neither one of us is particularly big on selling or sitting around craft fairs all day, that business idea quickly became an online business idea.

At The Dusty Fox we handcraft everything we sell. We buy fine domestic and exotic hardwoods from a number of sources and then we craft that wood into quality gifts and home decor. We have attractive and unusual gifts for her, gifts for him and gifts for the home.

Items such as our expandable figures are usually available for instant shipment. Orders for quality pens, pencils and perfume atomizers will normally be completed and mailed within 48 to 72 hours of receipt. We try to keep a few of the toy trucks and the truck bank ready for shipping but there can sometimes be a delay of up to one week. Baskets, bride's boxes and jewelry boxes are built to order, but can usually be completed and mailed within two to three weeks. Special orders and commission pieces may require months to complete depending upon the season.
