Classic Cork Stoppers

The cork is glued over a dowel center. Over time it may be stained by the wine it contacts, but this will have no harmful effect on the the wine or the stopper. If, for cosmetic reasons, you desire to replace the cork, carefully cut off the used cork, sand the glue residue off the dowel, then glue on a replacement.

Silicone Stoppers

The silicone section is slipped over a dowel center and adheres by friction. It can be removed for cleaning or replacement (extra silicone sleeves sold below). The silicone sleeves cannot be used as replacements for the corks above as the dowel diameter is different.
